Czech Republic
The Czech Act on Waste 184/2014 came into force on October 1, 2014, with the exception of Art. I 33 and 37-39, with an entry into force date of June 1, 2015. Following points were newly introduced in the amended WEEE law:
- Concept of the Entrusted Representative
- Updated definition of the Produer of electric and electronic equipment
- Extension of obligation of the Ultimate Sellers such as as take-back of the used electric and electronic equipment
- Increase of the minimal level of further use of the electric and electronic equipment
- Establishment of the Central Registry for WEEE collection points
- Simplification of the administrative aspect of the EEE Producer List
- Larger density of collection points for household EEE
